Strategies for a
sustainable future Resource Renewal Institute |
Get involved There are many ways to become involved with a nonprofit organization such as the Resource Renewal Institute. Employment At this time, there are no job openings. Internships The Resource Renewal Institute offers (unpaid) internships for those interested in learning more about green planning and working in the environmental non-profit sector. Though the role of an intern varies and can be tailored to fit specific interests. Examples of typical responsibilities are: clerical tasks such as mass mailings or filing; web research; newsletter production; and assisting specific projects with defined tasks. To apply for an internship, please contact RRI to submit your resume and a letter outlining your interests. Volunteers RRI also benefits from the generous contributions of our many volunteers, who generally work on short-term tasks. Please contact us if you are willing to help out periodically with specialized projects. Other Support The Resource Renewal Institute is a nonprofit 501(c)(3), nonmember organization that depends solely on contributions to maintain its operations and programs. Personal donations make up the majority of our funding and are always greatly appreciated. We also are grateful for other types of donations, such as gifts in kind. The Resource Renewal Institute gratefully accepts credit card donations online via a secure server. Other possibilities for helping RRI include a bequest in your will or trust, gifts in honor or memory of another person, gifts that an employer agrees to match, and gift annuities that pay the donor income for life, with the remainder going to RRI in the donor's estate. One type of donation that can benefit both you and RRI is a Charitable Lead Trust (CLT). The CLT serves two purposes: it allows you to avoid the hefty taxes assessed (gift, estate, or generation-skipping) when transferring wealth to individuals, and it helps RRI continue its work of promoting policies to solve the problem of environmental decline, ensuring a better future for our children and grandchildren. Potential donors should consult their attorneys or advisors about the proper way to carry out their wishes. Please contact RRI for additional information. RRI is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization. All donations are tax deductible. Thank you. |
