Portland and San Francisco Sustainability
Portland, Oregon, has created a Bureau of Planning and Sustainability by merging its Planning and Sustainable Development Offices. It has adopted as binding city policy “Sustainable City Principles,� which link economic development to resource protection. Its Business Services for a Better Future describes training, technical, incentives, and recognition.
