Deborah Moskowtiz
  • President

    Deborah L. Moskowitz serves as President of RRI. Ms. Moskowitz grew up in California, studied Health Sciences at UC Santa Barbara and earned a Masters degree in Public Health from San Diego State University. She has formerly managed community health clinics in Santa Barbara and Oklahoma, and worked for 15 years as an analyst and project director for a private firm specializing in the design and implementation of software systems for California County Public Health Departments. Deborah was awarded the inaugural "Champion of Promise" award in Food Sustainability from the Silicon Valley non-profit, Acterra, for her development of RRI's Fish in the Fields program. Deborah lives in Marin, has three daughters and is an active hiker, kayaker and mountain biker.

  • Director of Programs

    As the Director of Programs at the Resource Renewal Institute (RRI), Chance's work centers around large landscape conservation, from the preservation of wildlife in National Parks to the restoration of biodiversity in agricultural ecosystems. He is the recipient of the 2023 J.M.K. Innovation Prize, Acterra’s inaugural Champion of Promise award in Food Sustainability (2021), and Sierra Club California's inaugural Emerging Leader award (2018) for outstanding contributions to California conservation and politics by someone under the age of 30.

    In addition to his work at RRI, Chance is an elected Council Member for the Town of Fairfax, California. He also serves on the board of directors of the Sierra Club's San Francisco Bay Chapter and International Rivers. Chance received a Bachelors in Philosophy and Political Science from Saint Xavier University; a Masters of Public Administration in Sustainable Management from Presidio Graduate School.

Scott Webb
  • Director of Advocacy and Engagement

    Before RRI, Scott gained diverse experiences in multiple facets of the environmental space, leading successful campaigns advocating for stronger protections for oceans and watersheds, directing electoral organizing efforts in Arizona, working internationally towards greater access to clean drinking water, and as an environmental educator focused on youth empowerment, and wilderness connection. Scott also was a raft guide on the Kern River, a naturalist and backpacking instructor at Point Reyes National Seahsore, and a fishmonger at a sustainably sourced community fishery in Santa Cruz County. Scott started his education at Santa Rosa Junior College and completed his degree at UC Santa Barbara, earning a B.S. in Hydrologic Sciences and Policy. When not at the office, you can find Scott surfing, on a river, playing music, or at a Giants game.
