Elk On The North Coast — Webinar

Tune in this Monday, May 19 at 2 P.M .

Please join us for Power in Nature’s upcoming webinar, Elk on the North Coast, this Monday, May 19, at 2:00 PM.

Hear from Carrington Hilson, Elk Research Biologist with California Department of Fish & Wildlife, and Chance Cutrano, our Director of Programs and co-lead for Power in Nature’s Bay Area Region.

Carrington will share updates on North Coast elk populations, and Chance will discuss the recent historic agreement at Point Reyes National Seashore—demonstrating how science-informed advocacy can protect wildlife, further the state’s elk management priorities, and secure ecologically critical lands to advance California’s 30x30 initiative.

More Information

“The tule elk, native only to California, is a powerful symbol of resilience and perseverance against overwhelming odds. From only 30 tule elk left in the world in the 1870s, they've rebounded to thousands roaming their ancestral lands today, showing what's possible when we unite in our commitment to conserve and restore our common home.”

- Chance Cutrano, Director of Programs for RRI
