Raising a Glass to Allison Jordan—Champion of Sustainable Winegrowing

We’re raising a glass to Allison Jordan, a former RRI team member and one of Wine Industry Advisor’s Most Inspiring People in 2025!

Allison’s leadership—as Executive Director of the California Sustainable Winegrowing Alliance and Vice President of Environmental Affairs at Wine Institute—exemplifies how conservation and agriculture can go hand in hand.

As a recognized leader driving sustainability in the wine industry, she advances the very principles we champion at RRI: innovation on working lands, climate resilience, and biodiversity protection.

Allison worked at RRI, where she was influenced by founder Huey Johnson’s belief in systems thinking and long-view environmental strategy. His viewpoints helped guide her toward a career where bold public policy and collaborative partnerships would become central to her impact.

From helping shape California’s sustainable wine certification to creating toolkits for climate adaptation and water conservation, Allison’s work has become a model for agricultural resilience in the face of climate change.

We’re proud to have been part of her journey—and thrilled to see her leading the charge for a more sustainable future.
